Louisiana Iris Available For Mail Order

Lousiana Iris grow over winter, so while many other plants become unavailable for mail order at this time of year Autumn is the prime season to order and plant out your Lousiana Iris.

For now only a handful of varieties have been listed as available, but over the next few weeks as we pot and assess our own stocks most of the range should be listed as in stock for mail order.

Because we close mail orders entirely through the middle of Winter the Lousiana Iris mail order season is relatively brief, so take the opportunity to order them while you can.

Temperate Water Lily Mail Order Season Ends

Temperate water lilies are no longer available for mail order this season. Beyond this point it is no longer the correct time of year to divide and repot them safely so they are not available in the post.

They will be available again some time in early Spring once the growing/mail order season starts again.

Temperate lilies are still available sold as advanced potted plants on site at our nursery.

Tropical lilies and other plants are still available both on site at our nursery and for mail order on the web site. But the end of the entire mail order season is coming so get your orders in while you can.

Mail Orders Resume for 2017

With the December mailing delays over we have enabled mail orders on the website.

Tropical Water Lilies are now available for mail orders, including the popular blue and purple lilies and a few night flowering varieties.

Mail orders will resume on Monday the 9th, and go out each Monday as usual after that.

Due to public holidays and a partial postal week mail orders will not be sent out on Monday 23rd of January and will hold over until Monday 30th.

Last Mail Order Date for 2016

Due to issues with packages with time sensitive live plants arriving on time during the Christmas package rush we do not send mail orders out over December.

Our last mail order post out for 2016 will be Monday November 28th.

Orders received and processed before that will be sent out that Monday.

Mail orders will then recommence in January. Items will be listed as in stock again in the first week of January with the first mailing day being Monday January 9th.

Due to a late season for Tropical Water Lilies this year it is likely that the January restart for mail orders will be the first date that tropical water lilies are available for mail order this season. However tropical lilies will likely be available before then retail at our nursery over December.

Lotus Mail Order Season Has Ended

Lotus mail orders have been discontinued for 2016 as the plants are now too advanced to bare root and post.

Lotus mail orders will be available again some time again next Spring.

Advanced potted lotus plants of almost all our varieties currently remain available for retail purchase at our nursery and will likely remain available until at least around March 2017.

Lotus Mail Order Season Ending

Lotus plants for mail order are running out of stock and remaining varieties will soon be too large to send in the post this season.

Depending on demand and seasonal factors all remaining lotus will be listed as out of stock for mail order some time over the next several weeks. If you plan to mail order lotus this season you should place your orders while you still can.

However the end of lotus mail order season is also the beginning of the prime season to purchase advanced lotus plants at our nursery. Potted lotus at the nursery are already established and available for sale this season and will be until late summer/early autumn next year. They will likely begin flowering on site some time around December.

Short Mailing Week

Due to the long weekend mail orders will not be sent on Monday 3rd of October and will be held over to be sent on the next Monday instead.

We only send orders on Mondays and don’t send mail orders in shorter mailing weeks to ensure a maximum number of consecutive mailing days for your order to reach you as rapidly as possible.

Mail orders will resume as normal on Monday the 10th of October.

More Lotus For Mail Order

Most of our range of Lotus plants have now been made available for Spring mail orders.

Notably however for retail pick up customers it is not yet a great time of year to buy lotus on site at the nursery. The ideal season for bare rooted mail order lotus tends to precede the ideal season for purchasing potted lotus plants at the nursery.
